Sport and Recreation Victoria have launched the first round of the Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program. The grants provide assistance to Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sporting carnivals, buy sports uniforms and equipment, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions.

Nominations are open for the City of Ballarat Youth Awards 2024. The awards provide the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the city’s outstanding young people aged 12-25. There are ten nomination categories, including the Leadership in Sport and Recreation Award.

Sports Central is partnering with Golden Plains Shire Council and Harwood Andrews to present a Governance & Incorporated Association Training Session on Wednesday 29th May at The Well in Smythesdale. Good Governance allows community clubs to keep their sport safe and inclusive, as well as maintaining strong operational processes to ensure the club is sustainable into the future.
