
The Ballarat Bulldogs offers people with intellectual disabilities the chance to play football and netball in an inclusive community which values fitness, fun, friendship and a strong sense of belonging. Volunteer opportunities available include committee, training and matchday roles.
Special Olympics Ballarat are proud to be a part of the Special Olympics Australia community which brings sport, joy and inclusion to people with intellectual disabilities and autism. Special Olympics Ballarat currently offers basketball and swimming programs. Volunteer opportunities available include committee, coaching, sport coordinator and program supervisor roles.

The Country Football and Netball Program is delivered in partnership with the AFL, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria. It provides funding to Local Government Authorities to help regional football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations upgrade and develop facilities in rural, regional and outer metropolitan locations.
The Australian Sports Commission’s Local Para Champions program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-24 participating in state, national or international championships for athletes with a disability. Successful applicants will receive $750-$1000 towards the cost of attending their championships.
