Congratulations to the Carngham Linton Football Netball Club on bringing together their coaches and club leaders in early May to learn more about the important issue of mental health through the Tackle Your Feelings program.

Women’s Health Grampians would like to invite you to a Change Makers Dinner to be held in Ararat on Monday 22 May. The Change Makers Dinner is focused on Leading Change within the sporting community and how sporting clubs and associations can take meaningful actions to eradicate violence against women and their children from our community.

On Tuesday14th March, Sports Central was thrilled to support Disability Sports Australia and other key partners in delivering the Activate Inclusion Sports Day, at Selkirk Stadium, Wendouree.

Sports Central is hosting Responsible Service of Alcohol Training for members of all community sporting clubs and leagues on Monday 27th March. The training is delivered by Ballarat Group Training and tailored to give participants confidence in serving behind the bar within a sporting club setting.

Sports Central is excited to support Disability Sports Australia and other key partners with the Active Inclusion Sports Day to be held on Tuesday 14 March at Selkirk Stadium in Ballarat from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

The Victorian Government’s Sporting Club Grants Program is now open. The program assists Victorian sport and active recreation organisations to purchase uniforms and participation equipment, to increase the skills of coaches, officials and volunteers and to improve operational capacity and accessibility.

Vicsport are presenting a 90-minute webinar which will focus on several key considerations for clubs, leagues and associations when creating child safe environments. The session will incorporate practical strategies and time for Q&A.

Nominations for the 2022 Victorian Sports Awards are now open. The awards honour those who have made an exceptional contribution to sport across the state as an individual athlete, or as a team, as well as coaches, administrators, volunteers, local governments and media. 

Sports Central will again partner with the Tackle Your Feelings program to make mental health training available to football netball clubs in 2023. Tackle Your Feelings is a free mental health training program for community coaches, committee members and club support staff.

Sons of the West is a FREE health program for men. The ten-week program consists of weekly two-hour sessions aimed at improving men’s health and wellbeing through a series of workshops, presentations, events and experiences.
