This Girl Can Week, held between 22nd- 28th March, is back and Sports Central are encouraging women of all backgrounds, abilities, ages and body shapes to give something a go and discover how good being active can make you feel.
Councils across the Central Highlands region are helping women to get active whenever, wherever and however they can by promoting local come and try beginner friendly activities and showcasing local women getting involved.

This year, the City of Ballarat is working with Sports Central to bring This Girl Can activities to Ballarat. The campaign will include a series of programs delivered by a range of local organisations from 22 to 28 March 2021.

Sports Central will be working with clubs on the Leading from the Front – Alcohol and Other Drugs Safety – We All Win pilot project over the next few weeks. Leading from the Front is a community sport health promotion initiative with the aim of raising awareness of health, safety and wellbeing issues across the Central Highlands.
Sports Central are excited to be supporting the delivery of Inclusive Sport in Schools in partnership with Special Olympics Australia. The program improves the health and wellbeing outcomes of students with an intellectual disability and autism through the delivery of inclusive sport and physical activity in a school setting.
