All Abilities Sports - Come, Try & Find Out More
Celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDpWD) by joining us for an inclusive Community Sports Come & Try Day. This event is all about breaking down barriers, promoting inclusivity, and showcasing the power of sports to bring people together. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just curious to try something new, this event is for everyone.
This free, open-to-all event invites people with disabilities, their families, friends, service providers and the general community to experience a variety of adaptive sports. It’s a day of fun, learning, and celebrating abilities through sport and teamwork.

Sports/Organisations Include:
Basketball Ballarat: Try your hand at basketball in a wheelchair and find out more about their wheelchair basketball and all abilities hoops programs.
Special Olympics Ballarat: Explore what program are currently on offer and find out more about the process of becoming a Special Olympics athlete.
Ballarat Bulldogs: A club that brings people together through teamwork and fun, explore what it is like to be part of an AFL session and discover more about their Netball team.
Western Bulldogs: Come along and enjoy their inflatable football pop up! Find out what offerings there are locally at the Auskick level.
Sports Central: Talk to experts, link in with organisations, and sports clubs about getting involved in sports or staying active in your community. Complete our community sport survey to help map the gaps in all abilities sports.
North Ballarat Cricket Club: Throw yourself in and discover more about their all abilities cricket team who compete through the summer season.
