The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, in partnership with the City of Ballarat, is proud to welcome Daughters of the West back to Ballarat in 2026.

Daughters of the West is a free 10-week health and wellbeing program that empowers women aged 18 years and over to improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing while building meaningful connections within their community.

More than just a health program, Daughters of the West offers a supportive and inclusive environment where women can prioritise their wellbeing, build confidence and create lasting friendships. Participants will enjoy:

  • Free fitness and movement sessions suitable for all fitness levels
  • Expert-led workshops on health, nutrition and wellbeing
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Opportunities to connect with other women in a welcoming, inclusive setting
  • A safe space where women of all ages and backgrounds can thrive

Built on the power of sisterhood, the program encourages women to support one another, develop healthy habits and become part of a community that extends well beyond the 10-week program.

“Daughters of the West gave me the confidence to prioritise my health and connect with an amazing group of women. The friendships and support I’ve found have been life changing.” — Daughters of the West participant

Since its inception, Daughters of the West has supported thousands of women across Melbourne’s west, Ballarat and surrounding regions, with participants reporting improved health and wellbeing, stronger social connections and increased confidence.

Places are limited, so early registration is encouraged to avoid missing out on this rewarding opportunity.
