Want to try golf or get in some regular practice? Do you have an intellectual disability or autism? This might be the program for you!
The Special Olympics Ballarat Golf Program will swing into action Sunday 16th February. Special Olympics Ballarat are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity at no cost to participants due to the support of RACV Goldfields Resort, who have been supporting the program since it relaunched in 2017.
Each session the group spends time on the driving range to learn and practice their drives and putting skills before they put it into practice on a few holes. Equipment is provided or you can bring your own clubs if you have them.
It is a very relaxed program, taking place fortnightly on a Sunday afternoon, with volunteer coaches on hand during the session to provide golf tips and hints. Parents, guardians and support workers are encouraged to move around with the group if participants need additional support.
Open to new participants who will need to become members of Special Olympics Ballarat and to current Special Olympics Ballarat members.
A full schedule and program information are provided once participants have registered.
