Hands-On Coaching Support for Inclusive Programs

Sports Central is proud to offer free, practical coaching support to clubs delivering programs for people with disability. Experienced coaches visit your club to work alongside coaches and volunteers, providing real-time guidance and demonstrating inclusive coaching strategies that strengthen program quality, accessibility and sustainability. Each participating club receives 90 minutes of onsite coaching support per week for eight weeks to help create a welcoming experience for all participants. Places in the program are limited.

City of Ballarat – Disability Access & Inclusion Plan

The City of Ballarat is inviting community feedback to help shape its next Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (2026–2030). This four-year plan will guide how Council works to make Ballarat a more inclusive, accessible and welcoming community for everyone. The plan aims to improve access, reduce barriers and ensure people living with disability can fully participate and thrive in all aspects of community life.

The Bowls Crew – All Abilities Bowls Day at Sebastopol Bowling Club

Join us for a fun and inclusive All Abilities Bowls Day at Sebastopol Bowling Club, designed specifically for adults with disability. This relaxed and welcoming event gives participants the chance to learn and play bowls alongside supportive coaches and club volunteers. No experience is needed, and all equipment is provided. Just come along, have a go and enjoy time on the green.

Engaging People with Disability in Swimming

As part of Swimming Victoria’s upcoming classification weekend for swimmers with disability being held in Geelong, an information session will be delivered for key stakeholders committed to inclusive swimming. Coaches, learn-to-swim providers, schools and allied health professionals all play a vital role in creating meaningful pathways for people with disability to participate and thrive in the sport.

Local Para Champions Program Now Open

The Australian Sports Commission’s Local Para Champions program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-24 participating in state, national or international championships for athletes with a disability. Successful applicants will receive $750-$1000 towards the cost of attending their championships.
