
Sports Central is excited to support Disability Sports Australia and other key partners with the Active Inclusion Sports Day to be held on Tuesday 14 March at Selkirk Stadium in Ballarat from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
The Active Inclusion Sports Day is focused on providing people with disability the opportunity to try a range of different sport and active recreation activities, in a fun and inclusive environment.
Several all-abilities sporting options that are available within the local area will be showcased, including basketball, football and badminton. There will also be come and try sessions available from dance, bowls, golf and fishing. The aim is to promote inclusive sport pathways and encourage attendees to participate in community sport and active recreation on a regular basis.
People of all ages are welcome with participants able to register as a school group, community group or individually.
Each participant will recieve a free showbag, with a sensory zone room also available onsite.

Vaping is a growing health concern, especially among young people, and community sporting clubs have an important role to play in addressing it. To help local clubs tackle this urgent issue, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, in partnership with VicHealth and local councils across Victoria, has created a free, on-demand vaping webinar tailored specifically for club officials and coaches.
