Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training provides participants with the awareness and knowledge to serve alcohol responsibly.

Sports Central offer local sporting clubs the opportunity to host RSA training for their members. The training is delivered by Ballarat Group Training and tailored to give participants confidence in serving behind the bar within a sporting club setting.

RSA training covers:

  • Legal requirements relating to the sale and service of alcohol
  • Excessive consumption of alcohol and duty of care
  • Monitoring of patron intoxication levels and management of difficult customers
  • Alcohol consumption and Australian standard drink facts

RSA training is mandatory for licensees and staff offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late-night and packaged liquor licences.

RSA training takes up to four hours to complete, and each course can cater for up to 25 participants. The training can be hosted in-person or online via interactive video technology.

Upon completion, participants receive an industry recognised RSA certificate.
