A new Ballarat leadership network dedicated to females aged 15 and over is proving a success through local sporting and active recreation circles.
The Ballarat Active Women’s Leadership Network sessions are designed for female sport and recreation enthusiasts who have an interest in networking, personal growth and development.
The focus of these sessions is around engagement and empowerment of women and girls. The sessions also provide a safe and supportive environment to share insights, challenges and creative opportunities to be active and stay active.
The objectives of the network include the creation of a safe environment to encourage social connectedness and friendships between the female participants.
Currently facilitated online by the City of Ballarat, Sports Central and community leaders, the network also encourages the development of our local female champions and future leaders.
Due to COVID-19 this group is staying connected through Facebook. The second face to face session is scheduled for later this year.
