The Good Sports program is an initiative of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation. Good Sports works in partnership with sporting organisations, federal, state and local governments, and health promotion agencies to reduce the misinformation and stigma about alcohol and other drugs and improve the health of Australian communities.

Sports Central is a community partner of Good Sports and can provide free support to sporting clubs across the Central Highlands to change their culture, promote responsible management of alcohol and reduce high risk drinking.

Good Sports features a three-level accreditation system providing alcohol management standards for clubs.  Clubs move through each level, maintaining all standards from previous levels as they progress.  A major focus is to support sporting club committees change the way alcohol is managed in all activities within the club’s grounds and associated functions.

As a community partner, Sports Central delivers Responsible Service of Alcohol and Liquor Licensing Training for sporting clubs.
