Sports Central is offering local sporting clubs the opportunity to host an online Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course for their members. RSA courses delivered by Sports Central are tailored to local club situations, giving participants confidence in serving behind the bar within a sporting club setting.
Undertaking an RSA course gives participants the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a safe and enjoyable local sporting club environment.
The course covers a range of topics including:
- Problems associated with excessive consumption
- Alcohol and the law
- The question of who is responsible for responsible service of alcohol
- Facts about alcohol
- Improving the atmosphere of your premises
- Handling difficult customers
An RSA course takes approximately four hours to complete and each course has a maximum capacity of 25 participants.
RSA training is mandatory for licensees, bar staff and club volunteers offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licences.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are currently delivering RSA courses online via interactive video technology.
