Sports Central is offering local sporting clubs the opportunity to host a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course for their members. RSA courses delivered by Sports Central are tailored to local club situations, giving participants confidence in serving behind the bar within a sporting club setting.

Undertaking an RSA course gives participants the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a safe and enjoyable local sporting club environment.

The course covers a range of topics including:

  • Problems associated with excessive consumption
  • Alcohol and the law
  • The question of who is responsible for responsible service of alcohol
  • Facts about alcohol
  • Improving the atmosphere of your premises
  • Handling difficult customers

An RSA course takes approximately four hours to complete and each course has a maximum capacity of 25 participants.

RSA training is mandatory for licensees, bar staff and club volunteers offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licences.

For further information or to book an online RSA course for your sporting club, contact Andrew Milligan on 0419 590 674 or andrewm@sportscentral.org.au.
