Floor Curling and Pickleball @ Ballarat Badminton Centre

Ballarat Badminton Association are offering two new activities to their regular schedule.

Aimed at connecting the community through fun low impact sports, Floor Curling and Pickleball are great activities for all ages and abilities.

Thursdays 11am

Pickleball,  is a game played as singles or doubles, on a court the size of a badminton court over a low tennis-style net. It is played with a paddle made from either wood, graphite, or aluminium and a light, plastic whiffle ball a bit larger than a tennis ball but with holes in. The scoring takes you through to eleven and the winners must be ahead by two. Because the games are relatively short, players waiting in the wings for a court are assured of a game without much delay. It’s the best fun to be had on two legs!

Come and try for free. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Friendly and welcoming community. Low impact indoor sport. Have fun as you learn.

Wednesday 2pm

Floor curling is a modified version of the Olympic sport of curling with one major difference – no Ice and no sweeping involved. Suitable for all ages and abilities, with the use of pusher sticks encouraged. The aim is to get as many of your colour stones as close to the target as possible.

Come and try for free.
