Come & Try Coasting on Lake Wendouree

A come and try session of Coasting is coming to Lake Wendouree. Developed by Surfing Victoria in conjunction with VicHealth, Coasting is a Stand Up Paddle Boarding program for women. The program is a relaxing, low impact and easy to learn activity that is a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and water.

The program surfboards are much longer, wider and more buoyant than ‘normal’ surfboards, allowing you to effortlessly balance and propel yourself along the water with the paddle. One of the easiest ways to get active, coasting allows you to feel like you are walking on water.

For an hour a trained instructor will guide and share their knowledge and ‘know how’ to enable you to stand up and paddle around on your own board. You will see your confidence soar and your skill base increase with you fast becoming a competent Stand Up Paddleboarder.

Things to bring:

  • Towel
  • Change of clothes (just in case)
  • Water bottle
  • Sun hat
  • A big smile!
  • The rest is supplied (board, paddle, qualified coach, rash shirt, sunscreen, PDF if needed)

Note – Please come dressed in your swim wear, sports gear or any non-restrictive clothing.
