Ararat Bowls Club’s Jack Attack off to a rolling start!

Jack Attack bowls commenced at Ararat Bowls Club on Thursday 7th of February and was enjoyed by a diverse crowd of more than 56 participants.

The sun was shining and the bowls were rolling on the greenery of the Ararat Bowls Club. The Jack Attack program was off to a cracking start with lots of locals attending, excited to participate in the fast pace game. Jack Attack is a social teams based competition and was enjoyed by a mixture of beginner and experienced bowlers. It was great to see some diverse team entries including workplaces, friends, and families all enjoying the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the evening.

Event Coordinator and MC, Mick Dowd, was pleased to see participants enjoying the game and the scenic backdrop of the Alexandra Gardens. During the evening, Mick spoke about the club’s eagerness to involve the Ararat and surrounding community further in the bowls club and was delighted with the support shown by both new and existing members. The Ararat Bowls Clubs takes pride in being part of the community since its formation in 1884 and encourages any interested community members to contact Mick on 0407 342 954 for further information about membership, social programs or general enquiries.

Jack Attack will continue on Thursday nights at 6:30pm for a total of six sessions capitalising on the warm weather. All community members are encouraged to come along and experience the friendly club, have a bowl and enjoy a free BBQ. The next session is Thursday 14 February 2019.
This program was delivered in partnership with Bowls Victoria, Bowls Australia, Ararat Rural City Council, and Sports Central.
